Hi!
It's so nice to meet you!
Me and my husband, Arden. (The film camera I use, and that this photo was taken on, is actually his great grandfather's!)
Dwelling beneath the Tetons of Eastern Idaho, I am constantly in awe of the beauty of the world around me. Aspens, pines, rocky heights, dramatic sunsets, vivid wildflowers, and meandering creeks make up my home town. But even more beautiful than that are the souls I have the pleasure of interacting with every day.
Humans, I firmly believe, are the most beautiful and prized of all of Creation.
It brings me deep joy learning the various stories each of these souls hold and doing what I can to make each one feel seen, valued, loved, and comfortable.
It may be cliche, but the saying rings true: "the days are long, the years are short."
Right now, you are in a unique and exciting season of life, one I firmly believe deserves to be proclaimed. Whether it be an engagement, graduation, a birthday, or simply a regular Friday, let's boldly and beautifully tell the story you're living.
I believe it will be more than worth it.
Photography has always been a major source of excitement and creativity for me. My friends and I would often find some sort of photo-taking device, raid the closet of whoever's house we were at, and do mini shoots together. I quickly became the self-designated photographer, and years of bad photos ensued as I grew in my love for and skills in the art.
While my eye for a good photo has refined, my philosophy has not changed much. Eight year-old Elena took photos with a very similar mindset that More-Grown-Up Elena does: to capture the beauty of the person and moment, because a moment like this will never exist again and it is intrinsically beautiful and worth capturing.
In lives that are but vapors, we are called to possess gratitude and joy for every season we walk through. Photos help us do that. Take some time and look through any old photo album of your life, and there will always be opportunity to proclaim awe and gratitude for the lives we live.
At Proclamation Photo Co., I want to create those experiences of reflection and gratitude with you, along with lots of laughter and a bit of adventure.

Over: Me working on my photo skills with my sister and friends, it was a regular occurrence for this to be how we killed time during the social-distancing stage of covid. I used my mom's Nikon DSLR and my GoPro for years.

Wanna proclaim together?
Let's continue the legacy of proclaiming life and love.
The investment you'll make in a beautful photo gallery we create togther will, I believe, create joy for years down the road.
I desire to create an atmosphere of relaxed intentionality and artful reality.
If that is what you want, too, it sounds like we will be a great match!
